Yoga Foundations: the Path to Happiness with Mark

A 6 week foundation Course in yoga for all ages sharing postures, techniques and the attitudes that help you find happiness, balance and wisdom, even in 6 weeks!

The emphasis is on safely finding a practice that uniquely suits and inspires you no matter whether you are a complete beginner or seasoned yogi. Flexibility – or lack of it – is of little importance in this approach, which is open to anyone who can breathe and sincerely wants to improve their life.

You will learn foundation postures, breathing techniques and the philosophy that make this ancient system so relevent to today’s stressful and anxious times.

Please bring a yoga mat and cushion or blanket to sit on.

Cancellation up to 1 week  prior to event date is possible subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Less than 1 week’s notice of cancellation is only possible if we can fill your place from a wait-list.


About Mark O’Brien

Mark is the founder of Qi Health & Yoga in Manly and has practiced Yoga for over 27 years with well over 11,000 teaching hours under his belt. He holds Senior/Level 3 membership of YogaAustralia. Mark is a key note speaker at Yoga Conferences as well as being an advanced practitioner. He’s a practical family man with a refreshing sense of humour who will help you make your practice your best friend.

Whilst respecting the ancient traditions of Yoga, you’ll find his teaching lively and focused with great attention to sequencing and breath in order to prepare the body and mind to receive the profound benefits of yoga.

He remains in awe of the joyful way that skillful physical movement and attention to the breath can dramatically improve our moods, energy, health and outlook on the physical world.  He uses self-inquiry (swadhyaya) to inspire your curiosity to explore how to be truly happy through an organic, playful, grounded and mindful approach using all the tools of yoga, not just postures.
