The fascia is a connective tissue that wraps around and encases the body like a wet suit. Injury, stress and overwork can affect the fascia creating “tight” and painful sensations.

Join Maureen for a two hour workshop where you will discover the benefits and healing practice of myofascial release. You will improve the health and mobility of muscles and fascia and benefit from the long held poses to reset the body and mind. Leave feeling relaxed, mobile and with a restored body and mind.
Suitable for all.


Please bring a yoga mat and a towel.
Tennis balls and yoga blocks will be provided bring your own if you prefer.

Cancellation up to 48 hours prior to event date is possible subject to a $5 cancellation fee. Less than 48 hours’ notice of cancellation is only possible if we can fill your place from a wait-list.


Maureen Jensen

From her early adult life, Maureen has always had a fascination and keen interest in exploring spiritual enrichment, eastern culture and philosophies.

In her early twenties, Maureen studied a Traditional Japanese Martial Art that led to many trips to Japan to immerse herself in tutelage from the Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi Sensei. This led to 15 years of study and introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, Shiatsu and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Teaching was a natural progression and she operated a studio in Surry Hills for 10 years.

After having children she continued her love of movement and staying fit but felt “something was missing.” Only attending various yoga classes spasmodically in the last ten years, led to a more regular practice after becoming injured with back and knee issues. Hatha and Restorative yoga were her predominant styles of yoga classes, until being introduced to Hot Vinyasa and Yin which really cemented her love and fascination of all things yoga. After reading The Path of the Yoga Sutras, a practical guide to the core of yoga, written by Nicolai Bachman, it ignited a curiosity to continue learning and “dive down the rabbit hole”.

This led to completing a 420hr, Level 1 Teacher Training at Qi Yoga, Sydney under the tutelage of Mark O’Brien and Joan Miller and 50hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Dr Truth Robinson, Yin Living, Manly. 2021 was filled with further study, commencing with Five Element Theory Open Lecture Series with Yolande Hyde and further Yin Yoga Teacher Training.

Maureen believes in supporting her students in a holistic manner and encouraging them to be authentic to themselves and following their own journey .
