Moon Sequence with Naomi Lim

Saturday 10th Dec 2022

Join us for this incredibly dynamic and sound vibration filled Chandra Krama workshop in honour of the full moon with a specific MOON sequence led by Naomi Lim!

The Moon Sequence is a gentle flowing form that combines yin yoga with vinyasa, founded by Matthew Sweeney, and Naomi will be the FIRST to teach it in Sydney!

Chandra Krama was originally designed as a counterbalance to dynamic practices such as the Primary Series.

Although it is intended as a support practice versus your main sequence, it also helps practitioners to balance all aspects of Yoga by applying some key universal principles: here and now awareness, letting go, balancing yin and yang (or Sattva), meditation, and a therapeutic and individual approach.

Alongside, Baran Yildiz will be playing some live music to support your physical practice and for you to experience the deep healing that sound vibrations can bring.

The event will be held from 2pm – 4:30pm, with the last half an hour including some optional chai and treats to enjoy!

We cannot wait to see you there – come along to experience it for yourself!

Naomi is a beloved teacher with us at Qi Health & Yoga. The first vinyasa class Naomi experienced was at a gym, about 20 years ago. The effect of synchronising the breath and the movement had a significant impact on her body and mind. In 2012 she completed her first 200hr Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training, in Rishikesh, India. She then completed her 415hr Diploma of Yoga Teacher training with Mark O’Brien in 2017; Reiki (Tibetan Usui Natural Healing) attunements (on-going since 2017) with Joan Miller & Steven Henderson; Yin yoga TTC with Cora Geroux in 2019; Meditation TTC with Mark Breadner (2021); Training in Crystal singing bowls in 2022 with Source 88; studying with Matthew Sweeney since 2019 and has just completed her level 1 VKM Teacher Training which is ongoing.

Baran Yildiz is a Sydney based multi-instrumentalist and renowned as one of Australia’s most talented handpan players. Baran’s music combines melodies and rhythms of the Middle East and Africa with a modern touch on the hand pan, piano and various percussion instruments. Originally trained in classical piano, jazz drums and Indian rhythms, Baran gradually became a world music percussionist and composer. His first album ‘Interbeing’, released in September 2019, blends various modern world and neo-classical music elements and presents enchanting instrumental soundscapes.
