ADVANCED TEACHING TECHNIQUES for Teachers: Level 2 training with Mark O’Brien

Sunday 25th Oct 2020

You’ve studied many Yoga techniques and your own practice is progressing well. What now?

How could you be more effective, and be more economical with your energy when teaching others in a group setting?
Mark O’Brien is a senior member of Yoga Australia (and ex National Committee member) with over 11,000 teaching hours under his belt. He’s passionate about lifting teaching standards for the benefit of all students and to help you enjoy your teaching more.

This 20 hour module will train you how to be a more effective, safe and inspiring teacher who really connects with your students (not just be a knowledgeable yogi)

  • Build upon your teacher training to really advance as a teacher
  • How to improve communication skills to all students (not just those that “get” you)
  • How to manage group dynamics and hold space as you hold your centre
  • How to make all your classes trauma-sensitive
  • How to manage “problem” students –  some self-care for teachers
  • Learn advanced sequencing tools and class planning guidelines
  • Understand what it means to be a “good” teacher
  • Share experience and feedback with like-minded teachers

You will gain real feedback on how you teach and where and how you can improve to become a great teacher. You’ll also earn 20 CPD points and progress towards YogaAustralia level 2 or 3 qualification.

Dates/Times: Sundays 1.00 – 4.00pm (total 20 hours)

Capacity of only 20 to comply with COVID safety restrictions and spacing. Please bring your own mat and yoga props
Cancellation up to 1 week  prior to event date is possible subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Less than 1 week’s notice of cancellation is only possible if we can fill your place from a wait-list.
