What’s your signature dish?
I love food. And I love good food.  I’m not sure about a signature dish, you’d have to ask my friends that share my cooking 🙂 I cook with colour, eat fresh, clean and healthy and love things tasty.

What Yoga style do you practice?
Hatha, Yin, Ryoho

How did you start yoga?
At Bikram in Brookvale…I was working at Pure wholefoods and got invited to check out hot yoga. When I moved away from the beaches 10 or so years ago, I started vinyasa and hatha. I started because I was curious. Then it made me feel good, so I continued.

Can you sum up what Yoga gives to you in a few words?
Peace and calm

When and where did you do your first Teacher Training?
In India 2013. Sanpoona yoga school, the course was held  in Bhagsu north east India

Favourite pose?
Any kind of Back bend

Least favourite pose?
Toe squat (the “toe-cruncher”)

If you could study with any teacher, who would it be and why?
Simon Borg-Olivier (from Synergy Yoga). His style is graceful, effortless and simple. I believe his knowledge on yoga, and physiology is some of the best in the world.

Best in-class blooper?
They are constant. Sometimes sound comes out of my mouth that sound similar to words, yet I am the only who knows just what I’m talking about.

Where would be your ultimate Yoga retreat destination?
Somewhere near beautiful water.

What do you love most about your job?
The list is long. Learning, sharing, flexibility, interactions, strength, personal connections, life changing moments, potential, possibility, freedom, discipline, healing, growth, discovery. I love my job, (need I say more 😉

What have you given up to teach yoga?
Nothing I needed to keep

What have you gained by teaching yoga?
Confidence, knowledge, body awareness, good mental health, love, compassion, neutrality.

If you could talk to your pre-yoga self, what would you tell her?
Breathe in deep, breathe out deeper still

What hobbies/activities do you have outside yoga?
Bodywork, Ocean swimming, cooking, eating, bike riding, socialising, dancing, anthroposophy studies, and being silly.

How long have you taught at Qi?
Since December 2017…not long enough!
