Yoga Nidra CoraIn this expanded 40 hour Yoga Nidra Teacher Training you will learn how to guide your students and clients into deep healing, relaxation and personal transformation. Yoga Nidra is one of the most accessible forms of yoga and meditation because it can be practiced by anyone, regardless of experience level, age, agility or physical health. Yoga Nidra is one of the greatest gifts that you can offer your students, and it will enhance your teaching in both group and individual settings.

By attending this teacher training you will greatly increase your reach as a yoga teacher, simply because Yoga Nidra is so accessible and enjoyable. Stress is not a modern phenomenon, but untamed stress is having a tremendous impact on our collective health and well-being. By deeply relaxing the body, and allowing the mind to release constant thought, Yoga Nidra offers us a powerful, yet extremely simple tool for managing stress, and connecting with our own internal healing mechanisms.


During This Training You Will Learn:

  • – How to create a powerful and effective Sankalpa (intention)
  • – The 8 stages of Yoga Nidra
  • – The essential elements present in any Yoga Nidra script
  • – How Yoga Nidra can lead to transformation and conscious change
  • – How to best prepare your space for Yoga Nidra
  • – How to use asana to prepare your students for Yoga Nidra


After This Training You Will Be Able To:

  • – Confidently, and effectively lead a 10, 20 and 30 minute Yoga Nidra session
  • – Adapt Yoga Nidra to suit individual needs or goals
  • – Apply the tools of Yoga Nidra to make positive changes in your own life
  • – Incorporate elements of Yoga Nidra into any Savasana
  • – Create your own Yoga Nidra scripts & recordings
  • – Understand both the eastern and western viewpoint of Yoga Nidra
  • – Feel confident with your quality, tone and pace of voice
  • – Choose appropriate music to pair with Yoga Nidra
  • – Offer props and modification for practicing yoga nidra with specific populations ie. pregnancy, injury etc.


This training will be conducted over 8 sessions in which we will work with a variety of learning modalities – lecture, presentation, and hands on experience. This course will be balanced between theoretical understanding and practical applications. Each session will include a Yoga Nidra practice session guided by Cora Geroux, in which you will be able to fully experience the benefits of Yoga Nidra first hand.

You will also be given a recommended reading list and a yoga nidra mp3 for home practice. It is essential that you have had personal experience practicing Yoga Nidra in order to effectively teach it to your students.

            13 – 23 June Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 1.30 – 4.30pm

Cora GerouxCora Geroux is a life coach, yoga teacher and writer. She is passionate about inspiring women to fall in love with their natural body, embrace the wholeness of who they really are, and live a kick-ass authentic life. Cora is an ERYT 200, RYT 500 international yoga teacher. She has been teaching transformative group yoga classes full time since 2009. Cora is also an ambassador for Lululemon and a faculty member for the Level 2 Teacher Training at Qi Health & Yoga in Manly.

Her passion lies at the intersection of western psychology, and eastern spirituality. At the age of 18 Cora began her study of Psychology at Simon Fraser University, and graduated in at 24 with a BA in Psych. Cora’s work and writing has been featured in numerous well known sources; such as Inspired Coach Magazine, Elephant Journal, The Lululemon Blog, The Wellness Project, The 21- Day Meditation Project, The Loving Earth Blog and countless other publications.
Cora trained as a life coach with The Beautiful You Coaching Academy and credits this as one of the best decisions she has made to date.
