Spirituality and Yoga: discussion & practice with Shannon London

Saturday 31st Aug 2019

A Discussion and Spiritual/Yoga Practice with Shannon London
With thanks to my Teachers and Community

The workshop will include:

  • Spiritual Knowledge
  • Raja Yoga Practices
  • Pranayama
  • Meditation

Anthroposophy is a philosophy founded by the 19th-century esotericist Rudolf Steiner that postulates the existence of an objective, intellectually comprehensible spiritual world, accessible to human experience.

This is an educational and practical workshop aiming to engage individual, authentic interest in our inner development, and spiritual growth. The lecture will discuss the inner spiritual bodies we each individually have and share exercises to strengthen our inner soul capacities in the light of anthroposophy.
The lecture will touch on Karma, Reincarnation, and developing the Eternal parts of Self.

The practice of Raja Yoga (Royal Yoga usually involving meditation) will utilise the mind as the key to access deeper parts of the body, building strong awareness and connection between your mindbody. A strong connection to the sense perceptions within our body being communicated to your brain receptors, seeps into every relationship we hold, our relationship with self, our community, our work and our on-going relationship with yoga.

The use of pranayama breath-work will allow us to cleanse the physical aspect of the brain, build focus and use our natural chemistry of the physical to implement change into the metaphysical.
Prayer has been described as the conversation we share with God, while meditation is when we listen to God. The meditation aspect of this workshop will utilise pre-meditation exercises to ready oneself for meditation, and then the practice of meditation in light of anthroposophy.

This workshop is for those who are interested in the things we feel but cannot see.

You’re welcome to bring pen and paper to take notes.

Meet Shannon London
Shannon’s spiritual journey started in in her mother’s womb, coming from a family that preached their faith from door to door. From the very beginning she was taught to value creation and the formidable love God has and is.

Shannon’s journey has been a long one in searching for spiritual truth moving far away from the organised religion that was her upbringing and searching deep within for resonance in truth and love. When travelling to India for her yoga teacher training in 2013, Shannon was introduced to Anthoposophy with which there was an instant connection.

Shannon continues to explore, learn and question the evolution of her inner and spiritual life, with a happy understanding the Truth is dynamic! And will never be dull, cruel, restricting, but full of love, challenge, and growth. I am passionate about yoga and supremely passionate about spiritual inner growth.
