MUDRAS Workshop: the Yoga in your hands. With Joan Miller

Saturday 26th Aug 2017

Learn from one of Australia’s most experienced and intuitive teachers as she shares fascinating and practical ways to enrich your practice.
Hasta Mudras are simple hand movements or positions (such as “prayer pose” or “Namaste Mudra”) that we can incorporate into our  yoga to boost results and energy (or Prana )

Indian philosophy has taught that the way our fingers move and touch each other influences the flow of prana
Yogis have used Mudras to channel prana for physical/mental/spiritual wellbeing for centuries

Modern scientific research has established that moving different parts of your hands can activate specific areas of the brain. The hands and /or fingers also have a direct relationship to the heart and lungs. With our modern lifestyles, overuse of computers and hand held mobile phones, we are losing our complete range of movement in our fingers wrists and arms and upper body…This can affect our health in many ways.

Now is perfect time to reconnect with the power of the Yoga in our Hands

This Mudra exploration includes how to use Mudras in Asana, with Pranayama (breathing practices) and Meditation.

Suitable for all levels of experience and all ages.

Cancellation up to 48 hours prior to event date is possible subject to a $5 cancellation fee. Less than 48 hours’ notice of cancellation is only possible if we can fill your place from a wait-list.
