ADVANCED TEACHING TECHNIQUES for Teachers: Level 2 training with Mark O’Brien

Monday 5th Jun 2017

So you’ve studied many Yoga techniques and your own practice is progressing well. But how could you be more effective in teaching others in a group setting?
Mark O’Brien is a senior member of Yoga Australia (and ex National Committee member) with over 10,000 teaching hours under his belt. He’s passionate about lifting teaching standards for the benefit of all students and to help you enjoy your teaching more.

This 15 hour module will train you how to be a more effective, safe and inspiring teacher who really connects with your students (not just a knowledgeable yogi)

  • learn presentation and communication skills
  • managing group dynamics and holding your centre
  • make all your classes trauma-sensitive
  • managing “problem” students – self-care for teachers
  • advanced sequencing tools and class planning
  • improved verbal cues and approach for better learning
  • understand what it means to be a “good” teacher

As a part of this module you may be filmed teaching (“before” and “after”) to gain real feedback on how you teach and where you can improve to become a great teacher.

Dates/Times: Mon – Friday afternoons 1.30 – 4.30pm (total 15 hours)

Venue: Qi Freshwater (Cnr Albert St/Moore Rd, Freshwater)

Cost: $395
