Ashtanga Yoga (STRONG)

Qi_69C9186Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is an exhilarating and flowing Yoga founded by Sri Pattabhi Jois.  A challenging and dynamic series of postures develops a light, strong body and a calm mind. It is our most gymnastic yoga style which “stokes the fires within”. This flowing Yoga style helps to detoxify muscles and organs.

As you become familiar with the sequence, the practice becomes an intense, moving meditation, building strength, balance, focus and ultimately relaxation.

Because ashtanga yoga uses a set sequence of yoga postures we recommend enrolling in one of our regular foundation-level courses to learn the techniques and sequence over an 8 week course, though you are still most welcome to attend drop-in classes as well.
