CHINESE MEDICINE  & ACUPUNCTURE

 Andrew is a graduate of the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Australia), Guangzhou TCM Hospital (China) and St Bartholomew’s Hospital (City University – London, UK). He practises acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and has treated clients with a wide range of chronic and acute conditions.

His clinical interests and passions include:

  • fertility for women and men,
  • men’s health
  • internal medicine
  • and mental health

He is keen on helping clients approach their lives in a more integrated manner, strengthening the intimate connection between the physical and the mental-emotional-spiritual.

Andrew’s philosophy in Chinese Medicine is empowering clients to take control of their health and wellbeing, through diet, exercise and where appropriate, acupuncture and Chinese Medicine herbal treatment. Treatments and consultations are about partnerships between clients and him as a physician.

He continues to deepen and widen his skills in and understanding of Chinese Medicine through participating in workshops, seminars, apprenticeships, reading, study groups, and case conferencing in Australia, China and Singapore. He is member of the Australian Natural Therapist Association, the International Society for the Study of Classical Acupuncture and the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.

Andrew also has a background as a clinical nurse specialist in sexual and reproductive health, HIV and viral hepatitis. His clinical experience spans more than 10 years across Singapore, the UK and Australia, His writing career includes professional papers on the application of Chinese Medicine in the treatment of swine flu (2009 H1N1), clinical-professional nursing issues and creative writing.

He has been a lifelong practitioner of Taijiquan (aka Tai Chi) and has taught the art in various places in Singapore and Australia. He is also a practitioner of Qigong.
